Claims settlement in line with the criteria
The Bra Miljöval home-insurance ecolabel requires claims settlement to follow chapter 4 of the criteria. Rewind delivers exactly that — ready to be reported annually to the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation.

Rewind is the operational counterpart to Bra Miljöval's claims-settlement requirements
Bra Miljöval is the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation's independent ecolabel — a third-party-certified type I label established in 1990, covering twelve areas. Insurance is one of them. Insurers who want to certify their home insurance must meet criteria in four parts: the company, asset management, loss-prevention information and claims settlement.
Claims settlement (chapter 4) is where Rewind acts as operational partner — we deliver point by point what the criteria require, including the six mandatory product types (mobile phones, computers, tablets, TVs, furniture and bicycles) that must be reported annually to the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation.
The climate calculations in our reports use conservative emission factors from IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, WRAP UK, the World Gold Council, manufacturer LCA reports (Apple, Samsung, IKEA, Trek and others) and other established sources — category by category, documented in appendix A of our methodology PDF. Reports are formatted to ESRS E1 (climate change) within the CSRD framework, so partners can feed the figures straight into their sustainability statements.
Note: Rewind itself is not Bra Miljöval-certified — it is the insurer that applies for the label. We are the operational partner that makes the chapter 4 (claims settlement) criteria achievable in practice, and reportable.

Bra Miljöval Insurance § 4.4.2 requires licensees to report an action plan and outcome annually for six specific product types. Rewind's reports cover all six — plus 11 further categories.

Methodology
How we calculate — and why you can rely on it
Conservative standard factors
We report lower values than the industry's average LCA data so the figures hold up to audit. Example: a newly manufactured iPhone has a footprint of 60–80 kg CO₂e according to Apple's Environmental Reports. We report 35 kg per reused phone — just over half the actual value.
