This policy describes how Rewind Insure Technology AB (Reg. no. 556521-6701, Fabriksvägen 5, 245 34 Staffanstorp, Sweden) processes personal data when you visit rewind.insure or contact us. It applies to this website only — partner-specific claims handling is governed by separate data processing agreements between Rewind and each insurer.
If you have been an insurance customer
Goods handling & reuse — separate policy
When insurers send assignments to Rewind, we temporarily receive contact details so that we can collect the goods. Our process is built on data minimisation: assignment emails and personal data are deleted no later than three working days after the collection is completed. After deletion, only an internal case number and item data remain — name, address, telephone and email are gone from our systems.
What data we collect
Contact details you provide yourself.
When you fill in a contact form or email us directly: name, email, company/fund where applicable, telephone and message.
Technical data about your visit.
IP address (logged by our hosting provider Vercel for 30 days for security and operational purposes) and anonymised visitor statistics via Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel Web Analytics uses no cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.
Aggregated KPI data.
The website displays aggregated statistics from our partner assignments. No personal data about individual policyholders is shown — only totals, category breakdowns and quarterly figures.
Why we process the data
- Responding to your enquiry — when you have contacted us. Legal basis: legitimate interest, or alternatively contract or steps taken prior to entering into a contract.
- Operating and securing the website — e.g. firewall, DDoS protection and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Understanding how the site is used — anonymised visitor statistics. Legal basis: legitimate interest, as the data is not personally identifiable.
How long we retain the data
Contact details you have provided are retained for as long as the dialogue is ongoing, plus 12 months thereafter. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Technical operational logs at Vercel are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We share it only with:
- Vercel Inc. — hosting and operational monitoring of the website. Data storage within the EU.
- Resend — transactional email provider that sends confirmations from the contact form. Processes email addresses you have provided yourself. Resend is US-based; transfers are made under the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
- Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 — for our receiving email address (info@rewind.insure) and case communication.
All are data processors with EU-based storage, or — for US-based services — with the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the transfer mechanism.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- request access to the data we hold about you,
- request rectification of inaccurate data,
- request erasure of data when there is no longer a legal basis for retaining it,
- request restriction of processing,
- receive your data in a structured format (data portability),
- object to processing based on legitimate interest.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Personal data is stored with our processors according to their security standards. Access to received contact messages is restricted to relevant staff at Rewind.
