Major retail loss × IF: tens of thousands of products back on the market
In April 2025, a nationwide retail chain suffered an extensive property loss. IF called Rewind. Within days our team was on site, taking inventory of the entire stock. The result: tens of thousands of products were reused and 25.3 tonnes of CO₂ avoided compared with new production — instead of going to waste.

How it happened
Within days, the team was on site
The loss was reported and IF brought in Rewind straight away. Our team was on site within days for a complete inventory — every product was authenticated, categorised and prioritised between reuse and recycling.
What followed was a structured flow: tens of thousands of products were packed, labelled and moved on to the second-hand market. The few that could not be saved were properly recycled. Everything was weighed, documented and reported as CSRD-ready data.
What it means
A model built for the Nordics' next major loss
This was Rewind's first — and so far largest — major loss as a company. It shows that the model we have been building since 2012 still holds: tens of thousands of products that would otherwise have been discarded got a second chance, and 25.3 tonnes of CO₂ were avoided compared with new production.
For IF, it meant a measurable sustainability line in the quarterly report — and products that would have gone to clean-up and recycling found new life on the market instead. A risk-free set-up, with no purchasing costs.
